WHAT’S NEW

Hi, everyone!  It’s been a while since I’ve given you an update, but finally there’s some big news to report.  I’ve got a new book coming, and I’m very excited about it.  It’s called Penelope, it’s published by St. Martin’s Press, and it should be in the bookstores by the end of March. 

It’s a different kind of book for me, sort of a modern teen fairy tale.  Penelope is a girl who comes from a wealthy, aristocratic family.  Normally, she would have it all – but unfortunately for Penelope, many years ago an angry witch put a curse on her family, and Penelope has to suffer for it.  She’s born with the face of a pig.  And the curse can only be lifted when Penelope finds someone who will love her just as she is.  So, with the assistance of her mother and a professional matchmaker, Penelope searches for a husband – but in the process, she discovers there are more important things in life than a pretty face.

There’s going to be a movie, too!  ‘Penelope’, the film, comes out in April, and the stars are some of my favorite actors – Christina Ricci, Reese Witherspoon, and James McAvoy (attention, girls: he’s sooooo cute!)  You’re going to love it.
